The Douglas Jersey
The Douglas Jersey
Recommended by The Telegraph as 'the most authentic rugby shirt.'
The Douglas Jersey, in 'antique' white is named after RAF Pilot and flying ace Group Captain Douglas Bader.
An avid sportsman (he played for Harlequins Rugby) and talented pilot, he was one of the first double amputees to rejoin the Royal Air Force on Active Service as a Fight Pilot at the outbreak of the Second World War in 1939. He commanded the Tangmere and Duxford Wings during the Battle of Britain and Battle of France before he became a Prisoner of War. A troublesome prisoner, he was determined to be a thorn in his captors side. Eventually, after several escape attempts, he was sent to the infamous Colditz Castle.
The Douglas Jersey is made here in England, and is designed to be played in, so is the most authentic jersey out there.
The embroidered Biggs fox offers a discreet heritage inspired design that is an easy wardrobe choice.
