The Buxton Derby Boot
The Buxton Derby Boot
Stanley Biggs Clothiers have joined forces with the famous Derbyshire footwear manufacturer, William Lennon & Co to offer a unique range of boot styles to our footwear range. Manufactured in the Peak District, our boots are directly influenced by the early 20th century. They are still made on the same machines, in the same workshop the family business has occupied since 1904.
The Buxton Derby Boots are influenced by the traditional toe-capped workboots of the early 20th century. Handcrafted for over 120 years, Lennon's have perfected this style to provide the wearer with a hardwearing and comfortable boot that will last a lifetime.
Produced using the finest mid-brown full grain leather, the uppers are 6 ½ inches with 7 brass eyelets and finished with a punched hole toecap and leather laces. The leather insoles, throughsoles and heavy duty triple leather outer soles are attached to the upper using a unique process of brass screwing wire; the oldest and strongest method of boot manufacture.
Our boots are finished with either a metal horeshoe heel or rubber top piece and are discreetly stamped on the tongue with the Stanley Biggs emblem.
As the boots are manufactured to order, please allow 20-24 weeks for delivery.
